Bridal Couture: The Bohemian Hippie Bride

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Today we tackle the last look of the Bridal Couture series (refresh your memory with the Modern Classic, Sporty Natural, Trendy Fashionista, Artistic Eclectic, and Funky Urbanite looks)…

Bohemian Hippie
Would you describe your style as earthy and carefree? Maybe you’re an artsy-fartsy gal like the “artistic eclectic” but with an eco-conscious slant. You love wearing flowy peasant tops, earthy jewelry, and comfy sandals, and you look great in golds and browns.

Here are some fabulous choices for your wedding day…

Highlights

  • A dress in a gauzy material, such as a silk chiffon, would showcase your easy, breezy carefree nature!
  • Empire waists are a fabulous option, but any voluminous silhouette would be great!
  • Try bronze or gold accessories with your dress. Bangles, pendant necklaces, headbands, strappy sandals…the choices are endless!
Ciao for now,

I promise & I shall deliver…

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009
Yes. I know. Over a week ago I promised a recap of my bridal shower weekend.

Well-ahem- I will be delivering on that; but it’s NOT my fault. Blame my MOH K for slacking on sending her pictures to me.
Sure, she just bought a house & whatnot…but, whatever. LMAO!
(That was my failed attempt at being a ‘zilla)

Any who, here are a few pictures from the weekend to wet your palette & keep you intrigued!

(Me-in the middle, sitting- with 5 of my bridal party members)

Stay patient, people…the full recap is coming! :)

Bridal Couture: The Artistic Eclectic Bride

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Today we tackle the next look of the Bridal Couture series (refresh your memory with the Modern Classic, Sporty Natural, and Trendy Fashionista looks)…

Artistic Eclectic
Do you love art in all its forms, including fashion? You have a great eye for putting together outfits, even if they aren’t exactly conventional. You show off your creative nature by choosing pieces that have character and flair!

Highlights

  • When in doubt, go vintage! You’re bound to find one-of-a-kind dresses and accessories at thrift stores and consignment shops.
  • Layer, layer, layer! Try an armful of bangles, layers of necklaces, or a stunning wrap or cover-ups. For an uber-eclectic look, try mixing a variety of different necklaces or bangles.
Ciao for now,

Weddzilla Reviewed: Bridal Artistry

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

Halsey, Shayna, and I spent the afternoon with Barbara, Ky, and Sherry from Bridal Artistry. We had an awesome time getting our makeup done, speaking with the ladies, and learning about the services they offer for brides.

Be as specific as possible when you tell your makeup artist what you want for your wedding day makeup. Sherry says she works with a lot of girls who don’t usually wear a lot of makeup, so helping people find a comfortable zone to work within one of the points of a makeup trial.

Have peace of mind during your big day! Bridal Artistry gives each bride her own compact and lip gloss (agreed upon during the bride’s trail) so she doesn’t have to worry about touch-ups!

Check out their portfolio for past work and don’t forget to read up on makeup tips from their team right here on the Weddzilla Blog.
