Headpieces

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

I have another post regarding the headpieces. When you think about your headpiece most girls (women) will automatically say a tiara. Because let’s face it, we all want to be a princess on our day. But has anyone ever considered a comb? I think the comb is versatile, with some (like the ones in the inset) you can take the designs off the comb and wear it out everyday.

Below are some photos that I took while at David’s Bridal. What I love about all of these are their unique designs. I never really paid attention to a tiara or veil before, because honestly, it just wasn’t that important. But now that I’ve seen both the tiara and the comb, I think I am more partial to the comb. With a tiara I would not have any use for it past our wedding day.

I have also seen some really blingy headbands, that I have fallen in love with as well, the only problem is that when wearing it with a veil, you can’t really see the band, although I’m sure with the right hairstyle you wouldn’t run into that problem.

I have a few pictures of some headpieces that I heart right now. What style (if any) are you going to wear or considering right now: tiara, comb, headband or nothing?.

Weddzilla Reviewed: Bridal Artistry

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

Halsey, Shayna, and I spent the afternoon with Barbara, Ky, and Sherry from Bridal Artistry. We had an awesome time getting our makeup done, speaking with the ladies, and learning about the services they offer for brides.

Be as specific as possible when you tell your makeup artist what you want for your wedding day makeup. Sherry says she works with a lot of girls who don’t usually wear a lot of makeup, so helping people find a comfortable zone to work within one of the points of a makeup trial.

Friday, December 4th, 2009

When it comes to the holiday’s and weddings, I urge brides to stay far away from the normal red and green or red and white. So here are some great color combos I think you’ll love.

The goal of this list is to provide bride and bridesmaids with various color options. Mix and match the combos anyway you see fit, these are just suggestions. All brides should strive to make the day completely theirs (idea wise), this is just to give you a push in the direction in which you want to travel.
