If you are looking for the best price on Tanning bed lights you need to shop online. You can buy them for substantially less online! Be sure to check out the full line of Wolff replacement Tanning lamps

The life expectancy of Tanning bed lamps depends on the type of bulb. Some have a longer expectancy than others but with all bulbs, by the time they reach half of their life span they are 50% less effective than they were when they were new.

If you can afford it, you should actually change your bulbs before the burn out. Once they start to be less effective you don’t get the same quality of tan so changing them early is great for your tan. And of course you can wait until they burn out.

When you are replacing your bulbs you might also want to consider upgrading your current bulbs to more potent bulbs or higher end bulbs. Be sure to read your manual to find out what bulbs you can upgrade or ask your local dealer.

Whatever your reason for changing lights, the choices are unlimited. There are actually more types of lights on the market then there are beds. Wolff offers one of the best lines of bulbs and are recognized as a leader in the industry.

When you are checking the price of bulbs make sure you comparing like products. If you are looking at 160 watt bulbs than of course you will compare other 160 watt bulbs. But you will need to go a little further than that. You need to compare life expectancy, UV ratios, and other factors. Use the spec sheets on each bulb for easy comparison.

Find out if the shipping is included in the pricing, or if it’s extra how much it will cost. High shipping can make your great deal not so great anymore. Don’t buy until you know what those costs are going to be.

Some websites also have a minimum quantity required for their order so read carefully so you know what’s required. Some require you to buy a dozen, some require a case, and others will require a gross, while others let you order just one or two. You certainly don’t want to have an extra 100 bulbs gathering dust.

Most of the high potency lamps cost more because they tan you faster and deeper. Remember that these higher potency lamps are also going to cost more power to run. At the price of electricity you might want to make sure the cost is going to be acceptable.

Never purchase bulbs that are not listed as compatible with your bed. Even if the lamp manufacturer says they are you’ll want to check with the bed manufacturer. Using the wrong bulbs can void your warranty but it can also pose a fire hazard or a shock hazard so don’t take the risk!

Do your homework before deciding which replacement lamps to purchase. Tanning bed lights are easily found online at a substantial savings and you can do your shopping all from the convenience of your desk.

A Teaching Moment

Ladies, when your man proposed, did you take the ring from him and put it on yourself? Or, did you let him put it on for you?
If you let him put it on for you, stop and think for a moment.
Did he struggle?
Did your finger hurt afterward?
Don’t worry.
Mine did too.
Since that fateful moment, I’ve been on a mission to help my man learn how to put on rings and how to take them off…without causing pain.
My beau tends to pull rings off holding the top and bottom of the ring.

I don’t know about you ladies, but that’s nearly impossible on my finger.
Whenever he does it, I just laugh while he fights with it.
After he’s given up on that technique, he tries taking it off by pulling on the sides.

This is slightly more plausible but tends to cause more pain than his first technique.
This is usually when I get frustrated and pull my hand away.
I then show him how to take it off and how to put it back on.
I tell him {over and over again} that you have to push from the bottom that way the ring fits over the knuckle and will stay in place [forever].
After all, this is important information for the wedding day. I’d hate to be standing on the alter awkwardly while he tried to get the ring on my finger. Best to practice now!
Have you had some teaching moments where your groom just doesn’t get it?

9 Tips for a Successful Spray Tan

9 Tips for a Successful Spray Tan

before-and-after

  • Plan ahead. Which day do you want to look most gorgeous? Book your Spray Tan for the day or two before this.

  • Exfolitation. Always make sure your skin is exfoliated. If you do not exfoliate regularly, do it every couple of days leading up to your Spray Tan. Concentrate on areas such as knees, feet, elbows and ankles because you do not want discoloration in those normally dry areas. Try Garnier Skin Naturals BodyTonic Sugar Scrub, $11.99

  • Remove Residue. It is a good idea shower before your Spray Tan appointment — you need to remove moisturiser, deodorant, and sweat.

  • Timing. This can be tricky: if you have your Spray Tan in the morning, you risk smelling like fake tan for the rest of the day (while you also go deodorant free). Afternoon tan? Well, you might not have time to leave the office and have a shower first. Tip: Make an afternoon appointment, and if there’s no time for a shower, wipe yourself over with a cleansing wipe first.

  • Clothing. Wear lose, dark clothing to your appointment — even go without a bra (if you can). Don’t wear anything you’d want to risk fake tan ending up on. Remember to take thongs — slipping strappy heels straight back on will only cause patchiness on your feet.

  • Don’t be shy. Spray Tanners have seen it all; from drag queens to grandmas in the nude. The less you wear, the better the results. If you feel more comfortable wearing your underwear, go ahead. Otherwise take advantage of the paper panties some beauty salons provide.

  • Activity. There’s no point forking out $$$ if you’re going to head straight to the gym or out on the town within four to eight ours of your tan. You’ll just sweat and your colour will either come off or become patchy.

  • Waiting Period. Wait at least 8 hours before washing, and remember: it’s normal for some colour to come off when you first shower. Keep your water temperature at cool to warm and don’t scrub your skin. Instead, gently wash your body (without a loofah) and when drying, pat your skin rather than rub it.

  • Moisturize. Keep your body moisturized over the next 7 days. You can’t stop the natural cycle of shedding skin cells, but you can keep your skin hydrated so that patchiness is reduced as your tan fades as well as prolong your tan.
  • Three Little Known Skin Beauty Tips (Not Tanning!)

    Friday, November 27th, 2009

Every day thousands of women spend a fortune in beauty products trying to find the fountain of youth. Every line of beauty products promises the same thing; and every one claims to be the best. You will often see beautiful models promoting the various lines of beauty products. The truth is that genetics and air-brushing the photos have a lot more influence on them than what beauty products they use; most likely they don’t even use the product they are promoting. I would like to share with you three of my little known skin beauty tips. Every day people mistake me for being between five to ten years younger than I really am, because of the way that I take care of my skin.

Tip number one: Consistency and routine

When it comes to finding the right facial cream, you don’t need to pay big money for a name brand. Every cream claims to have some kind of new “super ingredient” that will reverse the signs of aging. The truth is you need to start taking care of your skin even before fine lines begin to appear. There is no “magic” cream, almost any moistureizer will work as well as another. The secret is consistency. You must wash your face every night and liberally apply the moistureizer, massaging it into your face. Sleep with your hair pulled back, away from your face. In the morning, wash your face again, afterward splashing it with cold water to tone and close pores. Let your face air dry before applying moistureizer. If you are prone to acne this is the time to aplly your acne cream. Don’t spend alot of money for name brands. The secret is to look at the ingredients. There are two types of acne medication; one is salylic acid, the other is benzyol peroxide. Most pharmacies carry generic brands of either one for about one tenth of the price of the name brands.

Tip number two: diluting your liquid foundation.

For every day use I have found that most liquid foundation is very thick and heavy. A great way to help not only protect your skin, but also to have a more flattering natural look is by diluting your liquid foundation. Do not dilute it ahead of time, but as you need it. In the palm of your hand, place one drop of sun block lotion with an SPF of fifteen, and two drops of your liquid foundation; mix together with a Q-tip then apply to your face as you normally would. For trouble skin spots that still show through the diluted foundation, you can touch them up with a little un-diluted liquid foundation. When choosing the sunblock it is best to choose a facial moisturizer with SPF protection. Regular sunblock is very greasy and could clog pores.

Tip number three: Remove facial make-up safely and effectively

When it comes time to remove your make-up, you don’t need expensive eye makeup remover. Soap and water probably is not a good idea either unless you want red irritated eyes. The best way to remove eye make up is with plain petroleum jelly. A large jar is usually sold for only a couple of dollars, and it should last ou at least a month. With your fingers, apply to your eyelids and eyelashes, and rub in. With a cotton pad gently wipe off the petroleum jelly, the eye make up will come off with it. This also works for removing foundation and lipstick.

I hope these three tips will help you to attain the skin you have been looking for.
