A Teaching Moment

Ladies, when your man proposed, did you take the ring from him and put it on yourself? Or, did you let him put it on for you?
If you let him put it on for you, stop and think for a moment.
Did he struggle?
Did your finger hurt afterward?
Don’t worry.
Mine did too.
Since that fateful moment, I’ve been on a mission to help my man learn how to put on rings and how to take them off…without causing pain.
My beau tends to pull rings off holding the top and bottom of the ring.

I don’t know about you ladies, but that’s nearly impossible on my finger.
Whenever he does it, I just laugh while he fights with it.
After he’s given up on that technique, he tries taking it off by pulling on the sides.

This is slightly more plausible but tends to cause more pain than his first technique.
This is usually when I get frustrated and pull my hand away.
I then show him how to take it off and how to put it back on.
I tell him {over and over again} that you have to push from the bottom that way the ring fits over the knuckle and will stay in place [forever].
After all, this is important information for the wedding day. I’d hate to be standing on the alter awkwardly while he tried to get the ring on my finger. Best to practice now!
Have you had some teaching moments where your groom just doesn’t get it?
